Assignment Details

Description

This class is affiliated with two other courses in DAAP and Film Studies through the UC Forward program. Dr. Conrad Kickert will screen and discuss a film about urban planning and design. You must watch two of these and write a 200-400 word response to the film and discussion. Where possible, relate the film to our work with the History Harvest and the history of the West End. You are also required to write one response to students in the other classes for each of the films you view.

  • gain exposure to another field of study
  • interact with students across disciplines

Grading

Your Film Responses are worth 5 points each. Grades will be assigned based on the following criteria:

  • focused, organized, clean writing (2pts)
  • supporting details & evidence from the film (2pts)
  • appropriate, respectful response to student in another class (1pt)
