Fireside Pizza

Fireside pizza is located in Walnut Hills that was turned from a firehouse into a small pizza restaurant after the firehouse was disbanded in 1978. In 2012 the building was gutted and renovated into a  stone oven pizzeria. The firehouse was built in the 1870s and disbanded in 1977 after a fire destroyed most of the upper half of the building. Rumor has it a pedestrian walked by and claimed to a firefighter who was standing outside the building was on fire. The firefighter didn’t believe them and walked back inside!

This picture shows the outside of an older worn down firehouse with new renovations added into the right side of the building. The top of the firehouse doors say "Engine CO. 16"
The outside of the old Engine Co. 16 has been renovated into a pizza restaurant in 2014.
