The Golden Lamb

This photo taken by R.C. Piper was taken in such a way to deliberately recreate a photo taken in 1936

At the heart of Lebanon, Ohio, the Golden Lamb Inn serves as the city’s centerpiece. Although the photo above is from 1936, the Golden Lamb has existed as a public house since 1803, just a year after the city’s founding in 1802. The Golden Lamb is most well known as a favored destination of U.S. presidents. Much like its neighbor LCNB, the Golden Lamb is still in service to this day! The bottom floor of the building has been converted into a restaurant, while the remaining three floors of the four story building still function as a public hotel with a rustic ambiance.
