DoubleTree by Hilton published their coveted chocolate chip cookie recipe.
I repeat: DoubleTree published their chocolate chip cookie recipe.
If you didn’t know this, then you haven’t been paying attention to the right corners of the internet.
Devoted followers, I took one for the team. It was my responsibility to all of you to try out the recipe. For science.
My instructions? Just follow the recipe. I will note a couple things:
- No, you should not be able taste the lemon juice. If you can, then you should quit your job and become a sommelier ASAP and invite me to all your fancy pants wine parties.
- Beat the dough for only the amount of time / speed they say. I think I mixed too much and the cookies got a little stiff.
- Resist the urge to make the cookies bigger than they need to be.
- Resist the urge to eat all the dough. Salmonella be damned.
- Probably these would be better with walnuts but we didn’t have any. Anjali forbid pecans. For.Bid.
- Do yourself a favor and freeze half the dough. I ate nothing but cookies for 2 days and it was glorious, but . . . too glorious, perhaps.
I don’t recommend sharing. I shared with Anjali. It regret it.
