"They have some land in the upper part of Lodge Grass Creek which is good pasture and some good dry farm land, but too far to haul grain. This they have rented at this time. His son Francis, wife and one child, Tom and his wife and one child, and William who is single live with their father. We believe they are the best farmers and most industrious young men on the reservation. They farm like progressive industrious white people. They hope that if they have a crop this year they will build a house for these boys that are married and let them live and farm on their own account in the future but they seems to get along harmoniously."
