1922 Industrial Survey of One Star

"One Star is somewhat of the old type of Indian. He does not take to modern ways very readily. He has a nice new house and it is better kept than most of the houses of the younger women. He does some farming but is disposed to get outside labor to do the work. He usually lives at his own home and has not many visitors living in with him. For an old Indian, he is probably doing fairly well. His land is not extra good, having but little under ditch. It is principally a grazing proposition. Most of the land is inherited and he owns but a portion. He had about 350 bu. of wheat, 80 bu. of oats, 20 tons of hay in a stack."
