1922 Industrial Survey of Onion

"This is an old man not able to work much. He does what he can and puts up his hay mostly alone. He has not cultivated any crops that amount to anything. His son, who is about 21 years of age, recently married and has been living with his wife's people. We believe that it may be possible to get him to come and live on his father's place and farm it alone. It is not a very good place, but could be made to produce a fair crop most years. The house is fairly well furnished and fairly well kept, considering that the old man lives there alone."
