Oscar Robertson, the “Big O”, a basketball legend who led UC to two Final Fours.

Oscar Robertson, also known as the “Big O”, was an Indiana (go Hoosiers!) born basketball player that became the first African-American player for the University of Cincinnati. His basketball career at UC led it to two Final Fours.

Despite this, he was continually discriminated against and this formed into a future of social activism. After his long career in basketball at the collegiate and NBA level, he helped minorities in his hometown of Indianapolis. He is arguably one of the most revered UC alumni.
