For most Ohioans, our pride and joy come from the fact that we were the first in aviation. The Wright brothers took innovation to the next level in 1903 and that took place here in Dayton, Ohio. This was not a small feat, but a huge leap in technology, nations across the world looked to Ohio for inspiration and education.

This mural embodies the patriotism and pride that Dayton has for the Wright brothers and the triumph of aviation. I personally appreciate how the colors, the national animal, and the first plane are tied together in this mural.
