TUC, otherwise known as Tangeman University Center was originally built in 1932, designed by Harry Hake. It is one of the oldest buildings on campus. Originally named “The Union”, it held student meeting rooms, a mess hall, a art gallery, a music hall, and many student ran clubs. In 1967, it was granted with its new name “Donald Core Tangeman University Center” or more commonly used today, “TUC”.
The building went under its most recent renovation in 2001, keeping most of the original build and adding a new modern twist to both the exterior and interior. Today, Tangeman University Center is equipped with even more student meeting rooms, a food court, movie theater, and the UC Bookstore.
