The UC Women’s center celebrated its 40th birthday last week. Opened in 1978, the center has spent those 4 decades providing a safe place for the women on campus to access resources and community. As someone who regularly visits the center, the atmosphere is welcoming and the space comfortable, with a friendly staff who are always willing to listen and provide support, and a safe space to decompress, socialize and do homework. Forty years under their belts with hopefully many more to come.
