Reheated Scones

Welp, it’s day 2 of the delicious apple scones from yesteryear. How does time work in quarantine anyway? No one knows. It’s still a mystery.

On Day 1, we ate the scones directly from the pan. We used plates, but it was just to maintain some semblance of civility. I was in day 4 of my stretchy pants, so plates were literally just for show.

Day 2 required more rigorous deliberation: microwave or toaster oven? Go ahead. Vote.

Scones are better reheated
In the microwave.
In the toaster oven.
I’m an alien that prefers cold scones.

The correct answer is both. The vote was rigged. (Dear reader, the vote is always rigged.)

This is a scone in a toaster oven.

Why both? I’m glad you asked. 1) Nuking the scone in the microwave hots up the middle. 2) Toastering it in the oven makes the outside crispy. This might be my finest intellectual contribution to date. You’re welcome.
