Disappearing House on the Hill

Built in 1955, the Bellevue Hill Park pavilion acts as an outdoor venue for visitors. The round pergolas mark the location of the late Bellevue incline house. Although the incline house was demolished in 1927, the outdoor stage remains as a reminder of the park’s heyday when visitors would gather for events at the resort. Read more here!
The face of Cincinnati is always changing, and the disappearance of the Bellevue house is just another change the city has undergone. It’s interesting to imagine all the historic structures that have fallen victim to Cincinnati’s constant state of change.
