Innovation in the Form of a Sculpture

Walking through downtown Chicago it is likely that you will catch your reflection in this large sculpture. This massive 42-foot statue resides in Chicago, Illinois. It was modeled after liquid mercury, by Indian artist Sir Anish Kapoor. The sculpture is a relatively new addition to the city, officially completed in 2006. This artwork is a beautiful futuristic representation of the extent that an artist can go to. We are constantly reminded by artwork like this, that art has no boundaries and this piece is just one example.
