The Magical Hymnal

This is a picture of me and a friend in the Trinity College library, clearly excited about our surroundings.

The long room of Trinity College can be simply described as magical; you feel as though spirits from centuries past surround you. I came across a rather peculiar book encased in glass lacking identification. Upon further inspection, the book revealed itself as a 200 year-old hymnal opened to a handwritten chorus. Written by Handel in 1741, The Messiah has become one of the most well-known compositions of the Christmas season. This book, in this magical library, transports you back hundreds of years. The hymnal taught me that sometimes, a lack of a description can provide you with the most insight.
