Bellavue Park Pavilion

Many are familiar with Bellevue Park and the overlook that displays the city of Cincinnati. But before Bellevue became a park in 1949, the overlook was the site of a steam-powered engine house and depot, built in 1876. At this time, the pavilion was the luxurious Bellevue House, which hosted social events on its wide porches, ballroom, and outdoor dance pavilion. The incline was closed in 1926, and the Pavilion was built in 1952, inspired by the work of Frank Lloyd Wright. The Pavilion was designed by Carl Freund, and remains a unique spot in Cincinnati.
