Edison R. Thompson otherwise known as Big Ed was a local performer in Cincinnati. He was influenced by country music and specifically liked Grandpa Jones and Uncle Dave from WZIP Radio. This marker was located right next to the last marker I had posted I had only read the one when I went the first time but noticed this one and thought I would read it. As it turns out both musicians performed together at places like the Vet’s inn. I think that its cool that the markers were placed right next to each other since both were local performers who also played together. Eventually, Big Ed started his own group called Big Ed Thompson and his all-stars which toured Europe in the summer of 1988.
