Arguably One of the Most Iconic Churches in Cincinnati

This is the alter at the Holy Cross-Immaculata Church located in Mt. Adams. It was built in 1859 right before the Civil War for the German catholics in the area. At one point it served as a Church, School, and Rectory and was eventually added to the National Register of Historical Places in December of 1978 but the school and rectory have since been closed. I got the pleasure of exploring the building during a walking field trip in my Cincinnati History class and this picture does not do the Church justice. There are immaculate stained-glasses windows, beautiful tiles, and mesmerizing paintings.
