Washington Park was built in 1855 laying on 6 acres of land. The heart of downtown this park that is found in Over-The-Rhine has always hosted bands and been a great place to gather. After the decrease of population in Over-The-Rhine the park and the pool it had on it were not really used. Then in 2012 Cincinnati renovated Washington Park to look and welcome Cincinnatians like it does today.
