Bringing History into our Daily Lives

I was informed by another classmate about how the Hamilton County Library on Short Vine has a case of artifacts from a Latrine that was excavated in the 1980s, dating to the earlier half of the 19th century. The Artifacts are provided by the Cincinnati Museum Center. I have seen a few of these “Pop-up” exhibits over the years and I really like the idea as it places history into people’s daily routines making it far more accessible compared to taking the time to go to a museum. By bringing history into the public, it makes history feel less “intimidating”.
