The Maxwell Truman Chambers Bench

Front of Maxwell’s bench with the words “Remembering the limitless capabilities of the heart, the power of laughter, what it means to be a True-Man and to live life to the Max.”

Maxwell Truman Chambers was a student at the University of Cincinnati. He attended UC’s College-Conservatory of Music; majoring in Musical Theatre. Maxwell passed away on August 13th, 2015, in Pensacola Florida, and was laid to rest in Marietta Georgia later that month

Max starred in multiple lead roles in his tragically brief career, including “Les Miserables” and “West Side Story.” Max was described by the mother of a former classmate as “one of the most talented young men you have ever heard, met, and seen.”

Maxwell’s family has since set up the Maxwell Truman Chambers Scholarship Fund for students.

A view of the bench in its relation to campus a to the left of the bench a sidewalk branches off to go towards CCM. While the path the photgrapher is on continues to a set of stairs leading away from campus. A tree sits over the bench providing a lovely source of shade for any passerby's wanting to take a moment to sit down.
A photo of Maxwell’s bench concerning the wider area of campus. CCM is to the left, the stairs ahead lead up to Dubois bookstore, and to the right of the photographer out of view is the Blegen Library.
