This wild find comes from our very own UC campus! McMicken Hall was designed in 1895 by Samuel Hannaford. The two stone lions that greet you at the front of McMicken are named Mick and Mack and have stood in front of McMicken hall since 1904, when they were given to the university by the city of Cincinnati. These statues are interesting because they were a gift to UC, just as UC is a gift to the city in helping to shape the young minds that attend the university. Many pass by these statues everyday without ever knowing the history they behold.
