Price Hill Incline

Built in 1874, the Price Hill Incline was the second-oldest inclined plane built in Cincinnati, just behind the Mt. Adams Incline.  At around 350 feet tall, the Price Hill Incline made it easier for downtown residents to get to Price Hill and vice versa.  Businesses around the Incline began to sprout up and many new residents with German and Irish heritage began immigrating to the neighborhood. The Price Hill Incline serviced residents for 69 years before shutting down in 1943.
