The Mother of Cincinnati Churches

Old St. Mary’s Church is the oldest standing church in Cincinnati. Built in 1840 by german immigrants the church sits in Over the Rhine and holds Catholic mass there still. Today if you go to the church you will feel a heart warming welcome from all different rounds of people. On Sundays, Old St. Marys Church still holds a 5:00pm mass in German. After mass, they then throw a party in the basement. There they have beer and pretzels just like they use to when the church was first built.
